#SafetyForAll: join the FPA Medical Outreach

Waste workers risk a number of challenges to keep the environment safe for the benefit of all, making a great contribution to public health, especially in low income areas of the developing world.

But what about them? The time has come to turn the spotlight on how to safeguard their health and safety too.

FPA member Wecyclers provides an example of best practice in this field, by providing a structured approach with more opportunities and benefits including healthcare for their waste workers.

As this is not the same around Nigeria and much remains to be done to protect and advance decent work for workers in the recycling sector, we are joining forces to support a medical outreach to provide 10.000 waste workers with Safety Training, Medical Training and Eye tests and Food Giveaways to sustain vulnerable people during the hardships of this period marked by the pandemic.
